This commission was a lot of fun to do as I made all the flowers, leaves, text and the dove from clay and then glazed to the colours needed. The flowers represent the emblems of the many countries that come from all areas of the globe. The art students were involved in mosaicing the royal blue background of the flowers. The Lemon Scented Gum tree has grown in the the school grounds since before the building was built.
